Contract Development Engineer - Request for Qualifications

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

City of Fernley 

Contract Development Engineer

 

The City of Fernley is requesting submittals for a Contract Development Engineer to provide engineering services as an independent contractor to the City. Services typically conducted by the Development Engineer include, but are not necessarily limited to, assisting the engineering department to review entitlement projects, various permits for construction and other duties related to the review, approval, and construction of development projects in the City of Fernley.  A more detailed list of services is listed in the RFQ packet. Work shall be provided to City on an as-needed basis, or as authorized by the City Engineer or the City Engineer’s designee.


Respondents shall be licensed to practice engineering in the State of Nevada and be members in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying (NVBPELS). The City will consider submittals from engineering firms as well as individual engineers.


The City anticipates the following general timeline for its selection process. The City reserves the right to change this schedule.


  • RFQ Advertised                                   The week of March 11th, 2019
  • Submittal Due Date                            April 15th, 2019 at 4:00 PM
  • Selection Evaluation                           The week of April 15-19th, 2019
  • Interviews (if needed)                         The week of April 22-26th, 2019
  • Contract Approval at City Council      May 11th, 2019

The deadline for submitting a response to the RFQ is 4:00 p.m. Local Time, April 15th, 2019.
