How to Apply

The FCTA Board will be accepting applications the month of May 2019. All applications must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday May 31st, 2019 at City of Fernley, Attn: FCTA Board, 595 Silver Lace Blvd, Fernley, NV 89408. Incomplete proposals may be rejected. Eligibility

The FCTA is looking for projects, events, and/or activities that are consistent with the FCTA's goals and objectives. Grant funds are intended exclusively to develop, promote, and improve tourism to and within the City of Fernley. Funds may be used for no other purpose. Projects should identify a specific target market, and offer a specific strategy for reaching this market. To be eligible for reimbursement, all expenditures must occur during the grant period of July 1st 2019 through December 31st, 2019. For example, advertising such as radio, newspaper, etc. must be performed within the dates of the grant cycle, not just contracted. The actual date of the event does not have to be in the grant period, just the dates of the actual advertising of the event. Click here for the current Grant Guidelines.

One of the goals of the FCTA is to grant requests for funds generated by the Transient Lodging Tax to organizations for use in any of the following areas:

  • Advertise available accommodations, hotels, motels, restaurants, etc., within the City of Fernley;
  • Advertise available transportation, bus, air, etc.;
  • Advertise natural resources and climate;
  • Advertise special events;
