Current Office:
Councilwoman Kelly Malloy was sworn into office on January 7, 2009. Kelly was elected to fill the remainder term (December 2010) of the the vacated Ward One Council seat
She represents Ward 1, a far-flung neighborhood stretching from the city/county boundary west of Exit 46 and north of the railroad tracks to the easterly boundary near Hazen. Ward 1 contains all of the city north of Main Street and Hwy 50A, the Desert Lakes Golf community and east between Farm District Road and Hwy 50A. This area is comprised of multiple land uses ranging from residential and rural to commercial and industrial uses.
Upon her swearing in as Ward One Councilwoman, Kelly stated that she is honored to represent and serve the residents of Fernley and assured the Ward One residents that she will be accessible and responsive to their concerns.
