Fair, efficient, and impartial accesss to justice through due process that promotes and upholds the integrity of the court.

Legal Requirement

Nevada Revised Statues (NRS), Chapter 266.550-266.595 describes the jurisdiction and operation of Municipal Courts. The Municipal Court has similar powers that are provided by the law for Justice Court, subject to the overall limited jurisdiction of misdemeanor offense. The power of the Municipal Court includes the power to charge and collect those fees authorized pursuant to NRS Chapter 5.073.
