NNVMC opened in 1990 under the administration of the Nevada Office of Veterans Services. NNVMC is funded by the State of Nevada and the National Cemetery Association.
The Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery is located in the quiet, peaceful community of Fernley, Nevada, which is 40 minutes from downtown Reno. The cemetery is located on 40 acres owned and maintained by the State of Nevada. Since it’s opening, over 5,000 veterans and family members of veterans have been placed to rest at the cemetery.
