Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery

NNVMC opened in 1990 under the administration of the Nevada Office of Veterans Services. NNVMC is funded by the State of Nevada and the National Cemetery Association.

The Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery is located in the quiet, peaceful community of Fernley, Nevada, which is 40 minutes from downtown Reno. The cemetery is located on 40 acres owned and maintained by the State of Nevada. Since it’s opening, over 5,000 veterans and family members of veterans have been placed to rest at the cemetery.

Eligibility criteria for burial at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery is the same used by the National Cemetery System and is based on military service. Dependants of a veteran may also be eligible for burial at the cemetery. A columbarium wall is also available for those veterans and dependants that have been cremated.
