Welcome to the City of Fernley Community Development Page!

As our little city continues to grow and change with each passing year, we at City Hall understand that it can be difficult to keep up with the new developments coming to Fernley. In an effort to better serve you, the community, we've created the City of Fernley Community Development Page. Here you will find information on the various developments taking place in our city; from residential to industrial, active to upcoming, and even developments according to City Ward.

To assist you in finding the right development information, we've included some helpful tools such as the Development Status Map and Community Development Report:

  • Development Status Map is an interactive online map using the City's Geographic Information System that displays city developments mapped out. Further information on a development can be accessed by clicking on the map pin icon. 
  • Community Development Report (CDR) is a monthly report created by city staff that highlights notable development progress as well as new proposed developments introduced during the month. 

Another great way to learn more information on city developments is through our new development status catalogs: Approved Developments, Developments Under Construction, and Developments In Review.

  • Approved Developments provides the title, description, identification number, location, type, year, status, and project info for developments that have been approved but cannot begin building. 
  • Developments Under Construction provides the title, description, identification number, location, type, year, status, and project info for developments that may begin or have started construction. 
  • Developments In Review provides the title, description, identification number, location, type, year, status, and project info for developments that have been proposed or are in the review process.

Lastly, we've provided the community with photos of developments as they reach major milestones during construction. These photos can be viewed in Development Photos.
