JOIN THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING USING ZOOM
From a computer or smartphone
If you have previously signed up for Zoom, log in and enter the following ID to join the meeting: 814 9018 1304
If this is your first-time using Zoom, follow the instructions below:
Step 1: Download Zoom https://zoom.us/download and create an account.
Step 2: Click on Zoom icon and log in.
Step 3: Click the blue "Join a Meeting" button located towards the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Enter the "Meeting ID" listed a the top of the agenda.
Step 5: Underneath "Join with a personal link name" type your name.
Step 6: Click on the blue "Join" button located under your name.
From a landline
You can participate on the phone, by calling (669) 900-9128 and entering Meeting ID 814 9018 1304
City of Fernley Public Comment Process
Public Comment Period
The Mayor will ask if there are any public comments during the Public Comment period at the beginning of the meeting, before adjournment, and during Public Hearing items. Once the Mayor has opened the public comment period, please do one of the following:
If you are using a computer or smartphone
Click on the "Raise Hand" feature in the webinar controls. This will notify City staff that you have raised your hand and you would like to speak.
City staff will enable your microphone when it is your tur to provide public comment.
You will be prompted to unmute yourself. Once you unmute yourself, you will have three minutes to provide public comment.
Once your public comment has ended, you will be muted again.
If you are using a landline
Dial *9 (star 9), this will notify City staff that you have "raised your hand" for public comment.
City staff will enable your microphone and will prompt you to unmute yourself by dialing *6 (star 6) when it is your turn to provide public comment.
You will hear "you are unmuted" and then you will have three minutes to provide public comment.
once your public comment has ended, you will be muted again.
