In an effort to address the Reader Board display quality, the City set aside COVID-19 CARES Act Funding. The reader board was originally installed in 2014 by the Depot off Main Street and is a tool the City uses to communicate to the citizens of Fernley. The replacement of the display board increased the clarity to a 10mm LED color digital display, from a 20mm; include automatic local weather, emergency, and Amber Alerts; and, will have cellular communication for remote content management. The total project amount was $49,189.
