The Fernley Citizen's Leadership Academy is scheduled to begin January 20, 2022 and runs through March 3, 2022; every Thursday night from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Fernley City Hall. The Citizen's Leadership Academy are for those interested in learning about how the City of Fernley government is structured and what programs and services are provided by local government entities that affect the lives of Fernley residents. You'll meet and discuss important issues with elected officials, City staff, the Fire Department, Lyon County Sheriff's Office, and Lyon County Human Services. You'll get the chance to connect with neighbors in your community and learn about the various community and civic volunteer organizations available in Fernley. Sign up by registering in advance with the City Manager's Office at 775-784-9858. Attendees who attend all Academy sessions will receive a certificate.
