DO YOU HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT TRANSPORTATION IN THE CITY OF FERNLEY? Then please take a few minutes to read this post in its entirety.
The City’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP) Project is currently underway and we need the help of the community to determine what you want to see for the City’s transportation system and what are some solutions you think could work.
We had our first public meeting last night (thank you to those who participated last night) and will be soliciting survey responses during the annual Spooktacular event as well.
In addition to the public meetings, an online survey is available for citizens and Fernley commuters to complete if they can’t make it to the public meetings. Please take a few minutes to participate in the survey - this is where you can make an impact (comments on social media are not included as part of survey results - we need survey participation) - the City will use the information collected in the survey to identify and prioritize goals and proposed improvements to the City’s Transportation Network. Head over to the online survey at: www.FernleyTMP.com
The survey itself takes only a few minutes to complete. There is also a map where you can identify issues or draw new connections or potential future roads, bike paths, or pedestrian paths that can take as much or as little time as you wish. This is for all things transportation so whether you want bus routes or bike paths or maybe just another lane, take the survey and let us know what you think.
The site is mobile friendly, the map is much easier to use on a desktop or iPad, but can also be completed on a mobile device, but it takes a little more time. For those that don’t want to deal with the online map, in the coming weeks we will also be posting paper maps in the lobby at City Hall for folks to come in to place post-its or just draw your ideas/comments on the map.
Please take some time and complete the survey. Tell your friends and family about the survey and help share this post throughout the community. Thank you for your participation!
