Fernley, NV, March 19, 2020 – Following Governor Sisolak’s directive regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Fernley has closed City Hall to the public, effective March 18th at 8:00 A.M. No in-person business will be conducted at the Fernley Municipal Court until further notice.
All Fernley Municipal Court proceedings will be continued for a period of 30 days. If you have been scheduled for court on any of the following dates your court date has been continued to:
March 23, 2020 your new court date is June 29, 2020
March 30, 2020 your new court date is July 06, 2020
April 06, 2020 your new court day is July 13, 2020
April 13, 2020 your new court date is July 20, 2020
April 16, 2020 your new court date is June 18, 2020
Court appearance times shall remain the same.

Should you wish to resolve your traffic ticket electronically, please visit the Municipal Court’s webpage to access the Written Consent to Entry of Plea document. Failure to Appear and Failure to Pay Warrants will not be issued during this 30-day period.
Court staff is working diligently to mail and update defendants and legal counsel on changes in court dates. The City is discontinuing all non-essential services at this time; however, you may still direct any inquiries to FMC@cityoffernley.org. Judge Matheus wants to ensure that the Court will continue to provide access to Justice. The Court takes the Governor’s directive seriously with regard to social distancing and is committed to provide the same level of caution and care needed to protect judicial resources and prevent the spread of any illness among Court employees, counsel, the public, as well as our valuable community partners who provide these key essential services to our residents.
