CITY OF FERNLEY’S IMPLEMENTATION OF GOVERNOR’S DIRECTIVE REGARDING CLOSURE OF NON-ESSENTIAL BUSINESSES
Fernley, NV, March 24, 2020 – On March 20th, Governor Sisolak issued his third emergency directive regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. This directive ordered non-essential businesses to close to the public. In order to maintain compliance with the Governor’s directive, the City of Fernley will begin implementation of the following process. The City will address non-compliance with a written notice to licensed “non-essential” businesses within the City of Fernley that continue to operate with their doors open to the public. As a reminder, this directive is intended for non-essential businesses only. The Governor has outlined non-essential sectors in his emergency directive, which can be viewed here: http://www.cityoffernley.org/DocumentCenter/View/23929/2020-03-20Declaration-of-Emergency-Directive-003.
The City of Fernley expresses our appreciation for the business community and to those businesses who are sacrificing in order to follow the rules set by the Governor. The City will work to ensure that all are in compliance in order to keep Nevadans healthy and safe.
