[ARCHIVED] All City of Fernley Parks Are Closed Effective Immediately

Per Governor Sisolak’s most recent emergency directive, all City of Fernley parks are closed, effective immediately.  

The Governor’ latest emergency directive (Directive 013) includes closure of recreational and sporting venues within the State of Nevada. The mandated closures include, but are not limited to:  golf courses, golf driving ranges, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, skate parks, horseshoe pits, and pickleball courts.  The emergency directive in its entirety can be viewed here: http://www.cityoffernley.org/DocumentCenter/View/23959/Gov_Directive013_Essential-Businesses-and-Leisure-Activities_4-8-2020

Although Fernley residents have been asked to stay home and practice social distancing, the City parks and facilities have still been accessible to residents.  City staff is installing signage throughout the parks, per the Governor’s directive, the use of the following facilities is now prohibited:
 -All City parks, playgrounds, sporting fields
 -City tennis and basketball courts
 -City skate park
 -City horseshoe pits

 We appreciate the cooperation of our residents during these difficult times, and please continue to stay home for Nevada.
