Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the Farm District Road Lift Station, Phase 1 Rehabilitation will be received by the City of Fernley, the Owner, at their office located at 595 Silver Lace Blvd, Fernley, Nevada 89408 until 2:00 PM, local time, on Monday, November 9th, 2020 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The Work consists of performing or providing all labor, services, and documentation necessary to produce such construction and furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into such construction, all as required by the Contract Documents.
The work under this contract will repair and rehabilitate portions of the Farm District Road Lift Station. The work generally includes forcemain and gravity flow bypass piping and pumping, new upstream bypass piping, concrete wet well blasting/patching and coating system, new gravity and pressure drop piping and appurtenances, new Flygt pump bases, guide rails and discharge piping, check valves, plug valves, concrete coring, carbon odor mitigation system and miscellaneous piping and appurtenances.
The Contract Documents can be reviewed and then purchased for $15.00 through Quest CDN. The link can be found on the Shaw Engineering website under “Bidding” at https://shawengineering.com/services-2/. The Engineer will record only those parties who have obtained the Contract Documents through Quest CDN and are listed on the plan holders list.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 at the site on Farm District Road, north of Jennys Lane, Fernley, Nevada 89408. The lift station is located on the shoulder of Farm District Road. Due to parking constraints please park on Jennys Lane on the east side of Farm District Road where there will be a brief review of the project and then we will walk over to the lift station site. Please wear proper safety gear including a safety vest and safety glasses.
Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form (separate Bid package) and accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base Bid amount. Successful Bidders will be required to furnish both a payment Bond and performance Bond in the full amount of the contract price.
The Owner will not award the Contract to a Bidder who, at the time of submitting a Bid, was not properly licensed under the provisions of Chapter 624 of NRS or if the Contract would exceed the limit of the Bidders license.
