I have just received a subpoena to appear at trial in Fernley Municpal Court. What if I am busy that day?

A subpoena is a command by the court, and your appearance is not optional, it is required. A bench warrant could be issued for your failure to appear. The City Attorney's Office will want to speak to you prior to trial, so it is a good idea to call the City Attorney's Office upon receipt of the subpoena to arrange to speak with the City Attorney or the assistant. The City Attorney can be reached by calling 775-784-9860.
